The Dreams Project - August 2017 - Ajijic, Jalisco Mexico Day 2

Day 2

Our second day of workshops for this year's Dreams Project proved to be even more dynamic and wonderful than the first!

I arrived on the plaza to find Caballo and Xill Fessenden in front of a large, black box....a camara obscura.  One of today's workshops was a photography session with Maestra Xill.

Caballo gave the children a lesson on light and how our eyes see...evolving into the kids making their own camaras obscuras.

Everyone had to take a peek.

While the Camara Obscura workshop was in session, Maestro Antonio Lopez Vega was overseeing the drawing and painting workshop on the second floor of the Casa Cultural de Ajijic.

And while all this was happening indoors, outside on the plaza Maestras Emilia Galvez and Kristina Trejo were working with the children on their musical skills using prehispanic instruments.

How this all will end is still to be seen.  The process sometimes is the product.  Tune in tomorrow.
